About Tanzania Safari Bug, Canada

A little about me and how all this came to be

My name is Francis and I grew up and live on the east coast of Canada.

I have worked in Ottawa for many years, and have spent the last 20+ years in New Brunswick, where I recently retired from a position held at the local university. I am currently working part time at a local business, and I am looking forward to life’s next adventure.

Anyone who knows me, knows that my partner and I love to travel and see the world. We have been very fortunate over the years to have had such amazing experiences through our vast travel. They also know that I’m a planner, organizer, fun loving and love working with people. So, what better way to continue the adventure than doing something I love and showing people, like you, one of the most amazing experiences they will every have, an African Safari in Tanzania!

We have been on several 3-month long trips through Australia, Asia and Africa. These trips have been organized completely by me, from flights, visas, hotels and adventures.

It is through my travels that I met one of the kindest, most gentle men you will ever meet; Michael, the owner of Tanzania Safari Bug.

At the time, he was working for another company and we lucked out having him as a guide for our 10-day safari. On that trip we had a chance to really get to know him and what an amazing guide/person he is! We were always amazed by how he would be able to spot an animal in places that would be next to impossible to see it.

We told him several times that he should try to start his own company. Years later, he has done just that.

We continued our friendship and I now have the privilege to be the company’s representative here in Canada/North America.

From the visa for Tanzania, to the suggested vaccinations, flights, hotels, what to bring and of course the airport pickups/drop offs and the safari.
